Is the art of practicing relaxation. Your body will be supported, cradled and held by various blankets, bolsters, blocks and pillows that provide a completely supportive environment for total relaxation.
In a restorative practice you typically stay between 5-15 minutes in each supported pose giving time for muscles to relax and to relieve the effects of stress. Restorative yoga is beneficial for everyone and can be practised when you are feeling weak, stressed, tired or recovering from an illness or injury and is a great complement to more active practices.
